In almost twenty years of activity at the METRO ARQUITETOS office, we have developed furniture pieces and objects as part of our projects. We now bring together some of these designs for mass production.
The set of furniture pieces designed for +55 highlights constructive aspects and the qualities of the materials used, in a design process that we also apply to our production at other scales, from buildings to urban interventions. Through the composition of simple geometric forms and the use of materials in their natural state, we seek to bring the way we think about architecture closer to the scale of objects.

Curved Line
With the use of simple geometric shapes and compact volumes, the Curved Line brings lightness and organicity to the objects. As a guiding principle, the office aimed to make the construction of the pieces legible: with clarity regarding the structural and functional performance of the different parts that compose them and their connection.
The use of natural materials such as wood, steel, leather, and stone respects the original aspects and their structural characteristics to the fullest.

Stone Coffee Table
Exploring the plasticity of concrete allows for the creation of free and organic forms. In this table, the office combined the material’s malleability with a geometric interpretation of nature, like stacked stones, creating a dialogue between weight and the force of gravity.
